Graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Military Academy of Medicine. He was fully trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and served for several years, the Greek army medical corps, as a specialist, at 401 Army General Hospital, in Athens. He was the associate director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, until his early retirement, in November 2014, with the rank of colonel. During all those years, he also practiced his specialty, in private. He is currently working at the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Dept. of “Hygeia” Hospital and his private office. He has published in academic journals and has been invited, as a speaker, to many conferences. He has also organized and participated as an instructor, in a great number of courses and seminars in surgery, implantology and guided tissue regeneration and endoscopy of salivary glands.

Dr Papadimitriou is an active member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and the current councilor, representing Greece, at the IAOMS council (2013-2016). He is also an active member of the European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery (EACMFS), the Stomatological Society of Greece and the Hellenic Association for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (HAOMS), which he served, for a 6-year period, as a treasurer and a councilor of the Board of Executives.
