The film continues the epic journey of power, intrigue and revenge set in ancient Rome. Years after witnessing the death of the venerable Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Leucius is forced to enter the Colosseum after his homeland is conquered by the tyrannical emperors who now rule Rome. Filled with rage and with the future of the Empire at stake, Leucius must look to his past to find the strength to restore glory to the people of Rome.
