A strange and unexpected disease is taking the lives of the richest and most influential people on the planet. First the thousand millionaires die and so on. The pandemic threatens to reach the holders of any kind of fortune. No one knows where the limit is. At first, the masses welcome with jocularity the disappearance of the great fortunes, but, as the fall of their economic empires affects the stock market and economic stability, chaos takes over the First World in the face of a magnified repetition of the pandemic of 2020. All this happens at the same time that Laura's life begins to improve. Laura, an executive at a thriving audiovisual streaming content platform, is just at the moment when all her dreams of achieving social success are coming true: being admitted into the most elite circles, getting her daughter into the most exclusive schools, and not worrying about how much she has to pay.
