Ourania Kougioumtzidou is a clinical nephrologist in Thessaloniki, who specializes in treating a broad spectrum of renal diseases, especially chronic kidney disease (all stages I-V), diabetic kidney disease and end-stage kidney failure requiring dialysis. She was trained to deal with primary, secondary and resistant hypertension at the European Excellence Center-3rd Internal Medicine Unit of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, certified by the European Hypertension Society. After attending the American Society of Nephrology 14th Annual Board Review Course in San Francisco, California, she had a successful participation in the final examination. She shows great interest in a variety of factors that influence the well-being and quality of life of renal patients and their caregivers.
